Agri-Tek HarvestLink was founded by Andrew Verwer, whose connection to agriculture began long before the idea for HarvestLink ever existed.
Andrew has spent his life around farms, livestock, machinery, trucking, hay production, custom harvesting, and the people who keep agriculture moving. From growing up in rural Ontario to working across different areas of the agricultural industry in Western Canada, his experience has given him an appreciation for both the opportunities and the everyday challenges that come with farming and agricultural operations.
One thing has remained consistent throughout those years: agriculture doesn't always give you time to wait for a solution.
When equipment goes down during harvest, a crop is ready before you expected it, you're short a truck or operator, or you suddenly need specialized equipment, the problem isn't necessarily that the solution doesn't exist.
Often, the problem is finding it quickly enough.
The Idea Behind HarvestLink
Andrew has always enjoyed solving problems—especially the kind that need a practical answer quickly.
Agriculture is full of resources. Somewhere nearby, there may be a farmer with equipment sitting idle, a custom operator looking for additional acres, a truck available for a few days, or someone with exactly the experience needed to get a job done.
But finding those people and resources often still depends on phone calls, word of mouth, social media posts, and knowing the right person.
HarvestLink was created to make those connections easier.
The goal is simple: build a place where farmers, custom operators, equipment owners, truckers, and agricultural businesses can connect when something needs to get done.
Whether that means finding:
- Equipment available for rent or hire
- Custom harvesting or fieldwork
- Trucks and transportation
- Operators and agricultural services
- Emergency harvest solutions
- Specialized equipment
- Additional acres or work opportunities
- Local agricultural resources

HarvestLink isn't about replacing the relationships that agriculture has always been built on.
It's about making those relationships easier to find.
The vision for Agri-Tek HarvestLink is to combine modern technology with the practical, neighbour-helping-neighbour mentality that has always existed in agriculture.
Because when weather is moving in, equipment is down, or a crop needs to come off, farmers don't need another complicated piece of technology.
They need a solution.
And sometimes that solution may only be a few miles down the road.
